Description
Throw, Throw, Throw!!... Lots of pot throwing on this half day workshop for beginners or improvers alike. This half day pot throwing experience is aimed at giving you the opportunity to explore the art of pot throwing, have great fun on the potter's wheel and build pot throwing skills at your individual pace. You will practice how to centre and throw pots on a potter's wheel. You will throw as many pots as you can within the workshop and will try different quantities of clay and throwing techniques, and of course you will undoubtedly get covered in mud!! Price includes bisque firing two of your finished pots although you are welcome to purchase more of your pots for firing if you wish. You will need to wear comfortable shoes and warm, old clothes suitable for working in a pottery studio. Please bring: *an apron, *old towel (plus plastic bag to take home in!) *any refreshments you may need (there is a cafe on site but please check your workshop times against opening hours). *face covering / mask *if you have your own tools you may like to bring these too (you can also purchase a set via our website or simply use ours) On completion of your course you will select two of your best pots for completing. Your pots will need to dry before they can be fired, this can take 2-3wks before they are ready for collection. If you would like to glaze your pots please collect promptly then bring them to any of the 'drop in' sessions (pay per session), alternatively you can collect after firing and take home to paint with for example acrylics and PVA wash/varnish Covid-19 policies can be provided upon request.

All materials and first firing of two pots (please note there may be additional costs if your items are very large!). Some parking available onsite (additional parking at bottom of hill in Regent Circus or top of hill on corner of Bath Road and Eastcott Hill near Moose Hall).
