Pot throwing on the wheel for a Half Day
Description
We are delighted to be able to welcome you to our well-lit and heated pottery barn area designed specifically for throwing and pottery making. This course is designed for those who would like to try their hand at throwing or have had some previous experience, perhaps having attended the 2-hour taster session and would like a little more time to relax into the processes and techniques to hone in on their skills. It is also designed with small groups in mind, with the emphasis on as much 1 to 1 tuition as possible and achieving successful and satisfying results. Individuals are very welcome to book for themselves or friends in advance. Up to 6 people can be accommodated at one time. Teenagers are welcome with a participating adult. Young teenagers or younger children may be interested in the Parent and child course as an alternative. These sessions make great birthday treats, anniversary surprises, Christmas presents or just a great experience. Sessions can be booked A.M or P.M Please note I am not a 'hobby' potter but a professional.
What's included in the price?
Included in the course price are full demonstrations, guidance and prompting during your time here, the clay, the biscuit firing and the option to come back and glaze your best pieces of work. Also included is a great deal of learning and experienced gained during your time (3 hours) here as the classes are deliberately kept small. Our potters find that 3 hours gives them the opportunity to really make some headway in their learning of the pottery skills.
