This introductory workshop makes a lovely Birthday/Anniversary/treat present, perfect for the complete beginner, or the more experienced student. I have over 24 years experience as a qualified ceramics teacher and professional ceramicist/potter. I have taught all levels from degree to adult ed. My Post Grad. training was in Mashiko, Japan. You will receive as much or as little direct assistance as you need in order to help you to succeed. I have a maximum of two students at each session to enable me to give you my full attention Your session includes choosing your 2 best pots if on a one person session or 2 pots each, if on a two person session. These will be glazed and fired with the glazes of your choice, they will be ready for collection within 3-4 weeks. *Please note this is for adults only and the Health & Safety maximum weight limit to use a seated potters wheel as advised by the manufacturers is 20 stone. *You will need to able to sit at the wheel (see photo's) for most of the 2hr session and be at a normal level of strength and stamina. *Max 2 people. *Sessions can be arranged for week days or at weekends, just let me know. * VERY IMPORTANT- PLEASE NOTE It takes a certain amount of strength and stamina to throw, so it is perhaps not suited to those who might find it difficult to sit for 2 hours or who have a very limited upper body strength.
