"I had a lovely time on the candle making course, Jools was so warm and friendly which makes a big difference when you're on your own. The course was great I learnt so much and can't wait to put it into practice. The morning flew by and before I knew it it was lunch time. The afternoon tea served by Jools and her husband was gorgeous. The experience was well worth the £65 cost and I would highly recommend the course. 10/10"

"This is the second course that I have attended, the first being the cold process soap making course and all I can say is that this is a really fun and informative course spent with lovely people and a host who is both knowledgeable and passionate about her craft. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who would like to spend a day in a beautiful setting learning something creative. This makes a fantastic gift that you will remember for years to come."

"My Mum, Aunty and I recently spent the day with Christine, where we made welt felted vessels for tea lights, using ideas that I had found on the internet. We had a lovely, relaxed day and were made to feel very at home in Christine's cottage, with plenty refreshments and tasty home made food. Christine shared many of her tips and is very passionate about her craft and clearly gains enjoyment through sharing it. We are all inspired and confident enough to make more items and continue wet felting at home. Many thanks!"

"Jason and Louise are so relaxed that the whole course was a joy. we were encouraged to do everything involved in making the bag with assistance whenever we needed it. I know itis the wrong way round but I think I may do the one day as well to experience working on smaller items"

We were both empowered and inspired to try to make our own projects following the excellent and patient instruction. I struggle with the creative side of crafts but when tentatively mentioning what I was thinking of making, Adela knew where exactly where to look for inspiration which helped me achieve a piece I am really pleased with. I would highly recommend this course and we certainly will be signing up for the outdoor workshop later in the summer."

"Just finished an outstanding week at Sallerton woods on the six day chair making course. We camped in the woods and cooked on wood fires which only enhanced the whole experience The woods are a beautiful and tranquil place to stay and work Andy's tuition is second to none and his home made pizzas are the best I have had. Am thrilled to bits with my chair and would highly recommend sallerton to anyone who has an interest in woodworking and nature."

Lucy is very patient and her tuition has provided me with a wonderful basis to develop basic design and construction skills for gem set jewellery. "I have just spent the most fantastic day learning new skills, creating jewellery from scratch and having so much fun under the watchful and expert tutelage of the wonderfully talented Bridget from Bridget Bradshaw Designs. Individual attention entirely geared to what I wanted to learn at my pace, but the day flew by. Lovely company and a lovely lady. Will definitely return to build on what I've learned and tackle some of the 1,000,000 things I now know there are to learn in this fascinating and incredibly creative industry. Best day out I've had in a long time and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. 10/10. Thank you, Bridget."

"Richard is a very patient teacher and is flexible about what you want to make, and even though I went over the allotted time, Richard didn't rush me or the other person making the belt. Even though I know a bit about leather craft, I learned lots of things about suppliers and different leathers which was great. I am hoping to go on another course too at some point soon!"

"Diane's class was so enjoyable and a lot of fun. We learnt so many new skills and was able to produce a variety of lovely silver jewellery. Being in a small group gave us opportunity to learn in our own time. Diane was incredibly patient and helpful. One of the best days I've had in ages. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait to go again."

Coming from the country and having an interest in historical weaponry I have always held an interest in how things are made. I found this highly informative and Chris's knowledge of the historical side of blacksmithing is amazing. He was also a lovely bloke, very good at teaching and very, very patient with someone as slow as myself. Would love to do this again!"

"So now I have a pheasant, made with the direction and help of Kate, and it's sitting in the shade of my red maple. A busy, full-on day, very well catered in the lovely setting of the garden at Tressillian House. I was surprised that we pretty much all managed to complete our various creatures. Great fun, and, it has to be said, quite hard work!"
