Immerse yourself in the joy of stained glass making for 2 full days with a professional, experienced stained glass artist in her working studio. On this course you will be guided through the processes and skills needed to create a leaded glass piece using traditional stained glass making techniques. Throughout the course you will have access to Jude's extensive knowledge & expertise through demonstrations, hands-on making, individual one-to-one tuition and guidance according to your needs. Whether you are a complete novice or have previously completed a 1 or 2 day course and would like to practise your skills and make another small panel, this weekend is suitable for you. You will also get lots of useful insight into the materials, tools, processes and equipment used together with plenty of interesting bits of historical information. By the end of the course you will have a completed panel to take home with you. The course will cover: – glass cutting – leading – soldering – cementing – cleaning and finishing All courses are held at Jude’s studio in Vanguard Court, a cobble-stoned inner-city oasis and home to a thriving community of dedicated, professional artists and creatives. Jude is a passionate stained glass artist & an experienced and inspiring tutor, dedicated to bringing out the best in every student. She has a wealth of experience in designing & making architectural stained glass. She has been practising professionally for over 30 years. Since then she has created innumerable artworks in the distinctive and vivid style that makes her stained glass truly special. Jude is a member of the Contemporary Glass Society CGS and the Heritage Crafts Association HCA.
