Description

We are turning Higham over to CRAFT for a week of workshops and demos for craft students led by some of our most sought-after tutors, offering a rich mix of inspiration, techniques and styles. Students will spend a day with each tutor, completing a simple project in a day while learning the fundamentals of four different crafts. Rebecca Halstead (Silver Jewellery) Clare Melinsky (Lino-Cut Printmaking) Michelle Hickman (Sculptural Needlefelt) Angie Burt (Embroidery) Check in will be from 4 – 6pm on Sunday 17 November. Dinner will be at 6.30pm followed by a chance to meet the tutors and talk about their crafts and the projects you will be doing. Prior to arrival we will be in touch with your schedule. The course will be split evenly into 4 groups (Group A, B, C and D) and will be timetabled by Higham. You will be allocated a day with each tutor. This will mean that each group will have the same amount of time with each tutor, create the same piece of work and learn the same techniques as each other. Tutors will be allocated classroom space and students will move around the building so please keep your equipment to minimum. Cancellation: It is advisable to take out your own travel insurance. If you need to withdraw from the course more than a month before the start date, £25 of your deposit is non-refundable/non-transferable. The remainder of your deposit can be transferred (as a balance) to be used against a future course. When paying the balance, you have the option to take out our cancellation cover at £5 per night. This guarantees an 80% refund (less deposit) if you need to cancel your place within a month of the course start date through illness/injury of self or close relative (doctor’s certificate or equivalent evidence may be required). Unfortunately, we are unable to issue any refund without this cover (your own travel insurance may cover you).
