Silver Jewellery making class at Sandra Kerns Jewellery studio, Little Sampford
Description
Silver jewellery making class for groups of 2 -3 people (£95 per person) Class will begin with an introduction to the tools and workshop machinery used during the day and a safety briefing. Students will then design their own unique piece of jewellery on paper and will then learn to cut the silver with a fret saw (practice with copper and then move onto silver), soldering tuition as needed, pickling and then polishing using a polishing machine or tumbler. Finally the student will put their piece together to make a complete and unique jewellery piece.
What's included in the price?
All equipment and materials will be supplied to make one piece of jewellery per person. Extra materials will be available on the day at additional cost. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided but if the class covers a lunch period a packed lunch will be required as there are no shops locally.
