Description
Make a sterling silver ring band. A 3 to 3.5 hour workshop enabling you to design and make your own silver ring band. Starting in copper you will learn how to adapt and manipulate the metal by sawing, piercing, hammering, annealing, patinating and forming. We will also cover soldering, texturing metal, and other techniques such as stamping. After playing and designing your piece, the techniques you learn will then enable you to create a solid silver ring band. By the end of the session you will have a copper ring and a silver ring. Materials included – copper sheet, sterling silver sheet (1mm x 6mm x 75mm), solder and use of all tools. The Wonky Jewellery Studio is based in The Market town of Richmond North Yorkshire, a short distance from the Main town on the Gallowfields trading estate, just along from Richmond Garden Centre. You do not need any previous experience.
