Make Your Own Wedding Rings From Your Old Jewellery.
Description
Turn your old silver, gold or platinum jewellery into your own (or each other’s!) wedding rings with experienced ethical goldsmith Anna Mcloughlin, at her off-grid Eco Studio in the beautiful Forest of Dean. What could be more romantic than knowing that the rings you both wear to signify your love for one another have been crafted by your very own hands, reusing metal that might be highly sentimental to you, or simply no longer being worn! Anna has specialised in making bespoke wedding and engagement rings for many years, and will guide you through every step to create your own beautiful rings from your own recycled silver, gold or platinum. You don’t need any jewellery making experience, and will be able to do as much or as little of the making as you feel comfortable with. However much you do, you’ll be able to look at your rings every day (hopefully forever!) and feel super proud that you’ve had a hand in making them! After the workshop, your rings will be sent for hallmarking, before being returned to you in a beautiful (and re-usable!) presentation box.
What's included in the price?
The cost includes an initial consultation, either in person, online or by email, and a day at the Eco Studio with the whole place all to yourself, as well as Anna’s expert tuition. Anna will melt down and process your metal in advance so that it’s all ready for you to turn into rings on your workshop day. If you live locally, you are very welcome to come and watch some of this process. We usually start the workshop day at 9:30am and aim to finish around 2pm, so that you can then enjoy a late lunch at one of the nearby pubs or cafes. Drinks and plenty of vegan snacks will be available to keep you going during the workshop. (Any additional metal needed for your rings will be charged on top and will vary depending on whether you choose to go for silver, gold or platinum.)
