Emma Payne reviewed: One day silver jewellery designing and making workshop

"My Mum and I had an amazing day with Bridget. We couldn’t of asked for a more welcoming, friendly and passionate teacher for our first taste of silver jewellery making. Her workshop had everything we needed and more and it was the perfect set up for us. We were so pleased with the pieces we made and would highly recommend he course to anyone."

John Cartwrigjht reviewed: Rustic thumb walking stick

"A really super day. I have made very simple stick in the past, this course has spurred me on to make better sticks. As with many things personal guidance is a million times better than a book [or even You Tube videos]. Dave has a very easy style of teaching. You are guaranteed to enjoy the day"

Clive Cottam reviewed: Learn to Turn in the Dartmoor National Park

"An absolute delight! As if I'd known Chris for years, our conversations explored a range of topics between his comprehensive and patient tutoring. I was a bit apprehensive but this proved groundless, as Chris provided an ideal environment for learning and practical application. The balance of instruction, guidance, suggestion and support was just right. Chris completely allows you to take ownership of your own project with only a light hand on the tiller. And of course you get to take home the product of your endeavours. Perfect."

Sara Christie reviewed: Make a silver ring or bangle

"This is my third session with Lucy and once again another inspirational, but relaxing day, so wonderful to be able to step outside of the real world for a day. Not only did I get to continue with my pendant project and learnt about stone mounting, but Lucy helped me create a beautiful ring as a keepsake for my daughters graduation, so very special, a heartfelt thank you Lucy. Thank you also Lucy for your patience and your guidance, the pictures and your wisdom sharing are so valuable in helping me to be able to do this as a much needed independant hobby. Have a great summer and see you in September."

Tim Parker reviewed: Clay modelling - sculpt a classical portrait

"I attended a 3 day course during which we fashioned a bust of a model. The old grammer school it is held in has a lovely artistic atmosphere. I had never worked with clay, but with excellent teaching and good company I had a lovely time, and produced my own mini “Epstein”! It was a great thing to do as an alternative break"

Rachel Stanaway reviewed: Introduction to glass fusing at the Cheshire School of Glass

"This is the creme de la creme of glass courses. Jenny has an excellent reputation as a Glass Artist and Tutor. She is so personable and has such an easy manner that she makes everyone feel at ease and creates self -belief in her students. Everyone created beautiful work that I think they didnt know they were capable of. I am definitely going to do another course with Cheshire School of Glass. Rachel Stanaway"

"This was my second course at Cheshire school of Glass. It was even better than the first. Jenny's talent and expertise helped all of us create beautiful pieces to take home. I am so proud of what I have made and can't wait to put them in the garden and show family and friends. I thoroughly recommend this course to anyone, whether you are a beginner or have worked with glass before. Emma Cunningham"

Helen reviewed: One day bangle/ring workshop

"I was bought this course as a Christmas present and what a fantastic gift it was! Jolene explained the techniques, tools and safety very clearly. I felt really relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed being creative. I made three bangles for myself and a pendant for my daughter. My friend who had bought me the present joined me for the day and made two pairs of gorgeous ear-rings. After hearing about what a great time I had, My 13 year old daughter is now desperate to do the course. I’ll be booking us both in soon to enjoy something we can do together."

Amy Williams reviewed: Jewellery making at the Cheshire School of Glass

"What a great day! A friend and I booked this. We live in stockport, so it was close enough for us to drive over to Frodsham for the day. The workshop was really lovely. We had lots of materials to use in every colour needed and lots of dicroich glass to play with! We learnt to programme the kiln, not that I could remember how to do it again! Jenny gave us firing temperature notes though! Jenny also introduced us to Microwave kilns . I had never heard of them, so i and Lucy may buy on between us. Jenny gave us loads of jewellery findings to put our pieces on. Two very happy customers!"

jennifer barker reviewed: Intermediate glass fusing at the Cheshire School of Glass

"The course was so full of information and really excellent! I had heard of Jenny's reputation through the glass company Pearsons Glass and the fact she teaches at a University, I knew she really knew her stuff. But she was modest and so approachable. I have a kiln and I am beyond the initial fusing stage so I wasn't sure what I could be taught. How wrong could I be? Jenny is inspirational. I recommend this course. I personally think you could do this course as a beginner as well as experienced. The other 3 ladies and myself had mixed ability and Jenny catered for all our levels."

Mark Head reviewed: Woodturning courses ( beginners and intermediates) in Hampshire, Wiltshire & Dorset

"I had inherited a lathe from my father who gave me a 2 hour lesson about 10 years ago. The lathe has been in bits in my garage ever since. I took a 2 day course with Andy in order to give me the impetus and the confidence to attempt assembly of the lathe and to get on turning. Andy has achieved this with his great experience but more importatntly with his very friendly and flexible approach to his client's needs. We sharpened correctly turning tools which I had taken with me and then proceeded to turn firstly a small rolling pin and then a beautiful bowl. The whole experience was uplifting from the beautiful rural location to the treasure chest of tools and machinery of Andy's workshop and the excellent lunches!!"

David Neale reviewed: Rake Making Workshop Using Traditional Green Woodworking Skills

"An truly excellent course which I thoroughly enjoyed. Pete certainly knows his stuff and, while he taught in an informal manner, his knowledge of green woodworking was exemplary. All of the tools were in very good condition and the cutting edges were impressively sharp. Copious tea and biscuits were conjured up at regular intervals. It was quite a hard day's work, but very rewarding and I ended up with a most impressive rake to take home. I would thoroughly recommend this course and fully intend to do another course with Pete and Jackie in the future."

Natasha White reviewed: Make and decorate a ceramic bowl in one session

"Josie is the best kind of teacher - a huge wealth of experience and skill combined with an open mind and encouraging approach that enables you to create your own unique piece. I learnt so much in this morning session and yet the atmosphere is relaxed and fun. Josie guides you gently while you are hand building your ceramics, never imposing her ideas but offering suggestions and ideas for shape and decoration that will inspire you to make your best work. Once made, the pieces are fired in her kiln for you to collect later. Her studio is a wonder: full of her own lovely work, it is the ideal creative environment. A great course and helped me create a lovely bowl that I am proud to own. For beginners and the more experienced, this is one of the best ceramic events I have been to. I would definitely sign up again. I am delighted to give it five stars!"
