Description
Create a beautiful intricate macrame pot hanger on handmade recycled copper stands. Learn how to do half hitch, flat knots, half knots and other various techniques. You will also be sent a virtual macrame knot booklet at the end so you can carry on making more at home. Meet the tutor Alice Hume is a Textile Artist and Weaver who graduated from Winchester School of Art with a degree in Woven Textile Design. She also had the opportunity to study Weaving at the Swedish School of Textiles in Boras, Sweden and in Osaka, Japan. She is a full-time Textile Artist at Hotwalls Studios where she creates contemporary Textile decor and runs workshops.
What's included in the price?
The workshop includes all materials. You will be provided with a handmade copper frame stand to work on. This workshop is also suitable for children as long as they are accompanied by an adult.

Maker
Alice Hume is a Textile Artist based at Portsmouth Museum & Art Gallery. In 2013 she graduated from Winchester School of Art with a degree in Woven Textile Design. Vanderhume comes from her ancestry of Flemish Weavers. Alice pushes the boundaries of weaving and uses unusual materials of copper yarn and raffia on her 8-shaft Harris Loom. After Graduating Alice and her father collaborated to make handmade frame looms called Hume Looms from recycled wood which she uses to teach weave workshops.
