Teresa Davies reviewed: Needle felted puffin

"Due to health issues I was looking for a new craft that could be done with minimal space and on my lap. Venue for the day just 5 minutes from my home, very clean, all facilities available. Rachel, and Rhian, were very welcoming and helpful, providing plenty of refreshments as well as expert instructions and advice. My fellow crafters were all enthusiastic and friendly, some experienced and several a novice like myself. We had the option to produce a 3D animal or a picture, I chose the picture. Rachel provided a multitude of colours and types of wool to work with, the process was quite simple and I soon had a floral 'masterpiece' unfolding! I managed to complete the felting element of my picture with the added bonus of being shown how to make and add petals to transform it to a 3D picture. I am very pleased with my work and will add some beading to it then frame in a shadow box. I purchased some wool and needles from Rachel to continue this craft at home, and Santa may be bringing me more supplies. I plan to book onto the another course to have a go at 3D animals, and later wet felting. I would highly recommend this course as you can produce a work of art in a short space of time, it is suitable for someone with arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome ( I was surprised that it did not aggravate my hands too much, take a break regularly). I also think this was a reasonable price for the day course. Thank you Rachel for your time and patience and expertise."

"Thank you so much, it is lovely that you have found us just around the corner so to speak! it is highly addictive and next time you come I will bring some of the plastic that I was talking about. Dont forget Santa can fill a sack with us if needed. We will be back on the 8th even if you do not want to do the workshop but pop in to do a request list we will be happy to see you! I have some of the needle holders in stock as well now. I would love to see your finished picture once you have the beads sewn on as well. Your flowers were wonderful and you were very open to try new things which was fantastic - we hope to see you with us again soon x"

Holly reviewed: One to one pottery throwing class in Worksop

"I bought this for my mum as a birthday present; we both went together and had an absolutely brilliant time - such good fun! Harriet was lovely and looked after us with tea, and was very patient! The two hours flew past and by the end we had created a lovely set of tea beakers, a small pot and a jug and were feeling very proud of ourselves! There's a great tearoom just down the road too, the perfect place to end the day with tea and cake (there are even vegan options!). Thanks so much Harriet - we'll definitely be back!"

Jenny Wealend reviewed: Monday Stained Glass (Daytime)

"I absolutely love going to this course. Yolanda and John are so very welcoming (chocolate biscuits and as much tea/coffee etc as you can drink) and the studio is incredibly well appointed. Everything you could need is there for you and included in the price of the course. Other course members are very friendly too. I’d recommend this to anybody who wants to try something different or who has a yearning to work with glass."

Cath Walsh reviewed: Macrame - Plant Hangers

"When you're learning from scratch it's reassuring to have someone watching and guiding you through the tricky stages. Wendy was friendly and attentive which meant mistakes were picked up quickly and corrected. The atmosphere was relaxed and convivial. I ended up with a piece of craft that I'm proud of and feel confident to attempt it again on my own. Thank you."

Gill Rotter reviewed: Introduction to glass fusing at the Cheshire School of Glass

"A fabulous day with a highly skilled and technically brilliant teacher. Jenny is really generous and patient. A lovely warm welcoming atmosphere. I didn't want to leave at the end of the day! I came home with my head bursting with ideas. The only problem is, you want to go back and do more. Going to Jenny's studio is so relaxing and creative. Anyone creative would really enjoy this course. I considered the price when I booked it to be a little on the steep side. However, with what everyone makes, the technical knowledge acquired and the generosity of materials I would say this is amazing value for money."

"Jolene was very good at giving me the confidence as a complete beginner to try tricky processes, but would step in if this was needed. She was calm, warm and easy to listen to. I was not sure if I was going to like jewellery making, but Jolene's enthusiasm meant I had a really enjoyable time and want to go back to do more"

Kay Thurstan reviewed: Needle felted puffin

"Loved the class and learned so much. We got to know the names of the different wool and needle sizes. Some of us made pictures while others made hares. Help and advice was on hand whenever we needed it . I started off with a section of core wool which I transferred into a lovely hare (much to my surprise). There were people new to felting like myself and people who have been before and wanted to do more. Tea, coffee and biscuits were made available and all we needed was a packed lunch. I would highly recommend the courses as Rachael is an amazing teacher."

2 Inspire You responded:

"thank you so much Kay, I am glad you enjoyed it so much. It is always nice to see different projects coming to life in the same room. There is such a lovely magical transformation as the wool takes shape and suddenly there is a creature there in front of you! We look forward to seeing you on the 8th December."

Jacqueline Walker reviewed: Stained glass weekly classes in Sheffield (South Yorkshire)

"I have been wanting to take up a craft as a hobby for sometime but struggled to find something that appealed as most craft courses seem to be based around sewing. My search is over! I have just finished my first course and have loved every minute of the Friday morning stained glass course. I'm really pleased with my first two 'practice' pieces and have nearly finished my own third piece. Kate has been a great teacher; she is very knowledgeable and patient. She explains and demonstrates every stage of the process and and never seems to mind my asking her to show me how to do something again for the umpteenth time! Now I just need to think of my next project ready to start the next course in January...."

Janette Scott reviewed: Felt Pictures-Painting with fibres - intro to 2D wet felting/felt making

"I really enjoyed the felt workshops, and produced two lovely pieces of work with Heather's fantastic help. She is a great teacher, explaining not only the whole felting process but the history behind it too. She very patiently took us through what to do, and kept a careful eye on us all as we progressed with our work. In the second week I did a portrait of my dog, which at first seemed a but over ambitious, but Heather really helped me produce something which is good enough to give as a Christmas present. Heather is very generous with the high quality materials and there is a fabulous array of colours to choose from. It was really fun, interesting and therapeutic!"

Louise Rozhon reviewed: Needle felted puffin

"A superb day from start to finish. I wasn't sure what to expect and, attending by myself, was a little nervous but what a fantastic day! I met a lovely group of ladies and we shared our learning, our biscuits and some gossip too! I created a gorgeous needle felted hare, yes me, I made it! Rach is a great teacher, patient and kind, explaining everything in a clear way and often several times! I would highly recommend a course with Heartfelt 2 Inspire, I think I may be a bit hooked!"

2 Inspire You responded:

"Thank you so much Louise, I am blushing!! I know how hard it is to come in to somewhere new on your own and I am glad we were able to make you feel welcome. Yes you made a superb hare and your daughter seemed very happy with your lunchtime progress. I cannot apologise for hooking you but I hope that we will see you again in the new year and take you further along on your journey. Have a fabulous Christmas and New Year"

JANE MITCHELL reviewed: Needle felted puffin

"A great way to spend a day! This was my first attempt at needle felting and I was able to produce a nice 2d picture that I will be proud to hang on my wall. I was instantly made to feel welcome and the level of instruction was perfect."

2 Inspire You responded:

"Your picture was amazing and a great interpretation of your piece of at you had with you. I am so glad that after the chaos of all the traffic and road works that were going on that you were able to relax and enjoy yourself. You were very keen to explore the colours and experiment which was a great way to create your finished result. I am pleased we made you feel very welcome and we look forward to seeing you again soon."

Steve Gent reviewed: Wood turning tuition, New Forest, Hampshire (1 day) (2 people)

"What a wonderful way to spend a day ! Right from the outset Graham and his wife were friendly and welcoming hosts. After introductions we adjourned to the workshop where we were treated to an interactive masterclass on woodturning.Graham is a natural and very patient teacher whos enthusiasm is obvious, allowing us to try, master and apply techniques as demonstrated, but always there to adjust and gently correct as needed for best ( and safest ) results. Thoroughly recommended."

Julia Greenwood reviewed: Stained glass weekly classes in Sheffield (South Yorkshire)

"I came across Martin’s workshop whilst visiting an open day at the Hamlet. I had never thought of doing stained glasswork before but immediately thought of a window for which we needed a stained glass panel and decided to make my own. I was inspired by the work which students were undertaking, the workshop and the atmosphere. Having completed 3 terms the window is now done and even my husband was impressed! Martin is very encouraging and inspires confidence in moments of doubt. There doesn’t seem to be any problem he doesn’t have a solution for and will ensure every piece is a success. I am in awe of the work students undertake under Martin’s guidance and have now signed up for a 4th term."

Chas Billing reviewed: Learn to Turn in the Dartmoor National Park

"An excellent day! Chris has obviously fine-tuned this course to give a satisfying experience. Making a bowl (starting from no experience of woodturning at all) filled a day perfectly, and the pace felt just right, not rushed, but no hanging around. Lots of great instruction and I was impressed with Chris' attitude - Where I would have been content to stop at "OK" Chris took me the extra step to get things just right - a real craftsman. Highly recommended!"

Thanks Jane for lovely time, great cakes, lunch and wine."
