Description
Discover how to make your own fabulous fabrics and textiles in this one-day, immersive workshop. - Work with fabric paints, to create colour block backgrounds and washes, overprinted with blocks and stencils to build a design. - Learn repeat printing and border techniques using hand-carved Indian blocks. - Explore 3D applique effects to create textured fabrics using multi-layer prints. - Use household items to create interesting print marks on textiles. - Learn how to eco print onto fabric using flowers and leaves. You will create multiple pieces of fabric, combining a variety of techniques, suitable to use for a wealth of craft projects. Two printable bags are provided to print up in your favourite style, after you have explored all techniques. This workshop is perfect for complete beginners, those with a little printmaking experience and crafters curious to create bespoke fabrics and designs. Located at tutor Jennie Turner-Maskell's house in the charming Cotswold market town of Lechlade-on-Thames.

All materials are provided, including blank fabric pieces, two printable bags and all tools. Tea, coffee, cold drinks and biscuits. Please bring lunch or visit one of Lechlade's many cafes and shops, within 2 minutes' walk.
