Description

Learn how to create reduction lino printed pictures in this workshop, with Lee Wright an experienced printmaker and teacher. The workshop will cover: * Introduction to traditional lino printing techniques and concepts. * The tricks of creating depth and atmosphere in your landscapes. * Designing your image. * Cutting and printing your lino in 3 layers to create your own lino printed landscapes. You will leave the day with a number of original lino prints all designed and printed by you! This print making course is suitable for everyone from complete beginners to those who have done some print making before.

Use of tools, inks, paper and other materials. Tea, coffee & biscuits. Do bring a packed lunch.

I am a printmaker and oil painter based on the beautiful Brecon Beacons. I trained at The Putney School of Art followed by The Welsh Academy of Art, where I am now a tutor. I love drawing and painting all sorts of things, people, places, animals, plants...If it lives I like to capture it's essence in a work of art.

He taught me a lot about mixing the right colours and applying 3 colours in one roll, very effective after 3 prints. He very gently mentors you and recommends solutions for everything.
