Description

Following on from the success of the sketchbook/mark making course Chris Urwin is running an experimental monotype printing course. At the end of each session you will have produced several different prints which can be framed for the home or given as gifts for art loving friends and family. Monotype printing is a technique that generally gives one good image when printed rather than repeat images as in lino printing, screen printing, etching, collagraph and other forms of printmaking. Monotypes are prized because of their unique textural qualities and by using the Environment and the many Natural Forms found in it you will be inspired to explore endless creative possibilities. You will be introduced to basic monotype printing techniques which will in themselves free up your drawing skills: this form of printing doesn’t require fabulous drawing but instead allows you to embrace experimentation and to have fun. Limited spaces are available.
