Colour reduction lino printing over 3 evenings (each session a week apart)
Description
In the cosy and inspiring setting of Crafty Happenings, you will learn how to design, carve and print a lino-cut using several colours, building up an image in successive layers. This is known as the colour reduction method. You will create a single bloom or flower head using this method to suggest tone and colour gradation. PLEASE NOTE: This course runs over 3 consecutive Thursday evenings, to allow time for drying, planning and carving. You will need to be able to attend all 3 sessions in order to complete the project. Your session will be led by Sue, a tutor of 20 + experience. The group is limited to 6 spaces, to ensure that you receive the 1:1 tuition that you need to produce work you are proud of! This workshop is aimed at those with some prior experience of lino cut printmaking, but enthusiastic beginners are also welcome!
