Rebecca Denton reviewed: Beginners candle making private workshop - Marlow, Buckinghamshire

"I attended the course on Sunday 29 April 2018 and loved it. Sarah explained everything and her instructions were easy to follow. I have a learning disability and normally need assistance or need to be shown something more than once. Not on this course I got it straight away and didn't even need to mention that I may need additional help. I CANT NOT WAIT to get on further courses with Sarah. Thanks you"

Vicki oliver reviewed: A night (or morning/afternoon!) on the tiles: a 2.5 hour taster mosaic course

"We had a brilliant evening at the Night on the Tiles. Fi explained really well how to cut the mosaics, possible designs and helped us when needed. She had all the colours you could want in different shades. We both made a few coasters each which my mum and I were so chuffed with. We’d both recommend Fi’s classes and that evening course."

Philippa & Georgina reviewed: Introduction to Glassblowing

"Jason was brilliant from day one of requesting info on the session. The session itself was so much fun and despite being slightly apprehensive about what would happen, we felt completely at ease and totally in control at all times. We made some beautiful pieces including flowers, birds and Christmas baubles. Jason is a great teacher and we'd gladly go back for another session - highly recommended!!"

Mark Henderson reviewed: Box making weekend in Cumbria

"Just finished my weekend course with Mark on box making, what a great and interesting time spent with a guy with so much skill and knowledge of wood, from learning about timber joints to the hints and tips they give you, things you would never have thought of until they are pointed out to you, I myself have worked with timber and sheet materials for many years but this was still an eye opener for me to see a master at work. The items they produce have to be seen to be believed, taking into account the challenges faced when working with a natural product such as wood. So many thanks go to Mark for his teaching over the last 2 days I will take this back to my own workshop and try to apply some of the skills he has shown me. I would recommend these courses to anyone that has a love of wood. Many thanks for all your help again."

Hazel reviewed: Fabulous felt picture 2 day masterclass near York

"I’ve just spent a wonderful weekend immersed in the joys of felting. Bridget is a patient, caring and inspirational teacher. It was great to see everyone’s projects - all markedly different - and the various techniques used to make them. I am sure I will be back to do more of these weekend courses to learn more from such a master craftswoman whose felt art has been accepted into the Royal Academy’s Sumer Exhibition. It’s a lovely part of the world to learn in too. I’m hooked!"

Vera Peiffer reviewed: Introduction to Frame Loom Weaving

"I had a great time on my very first weaving course with Alice at her studio. The group was small, and Alice gave plenty of attention to all participants. She explained the weaving processes clearly and was always on hand to sort out any problems we had. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and went home with a nice little piece of woven material. I cannot recommend Alice's course highly enough!"

Emma reviewed: One day stained glass classes by Le Breton Traditional

"What a great day! It absolutely flew by. Matt’s enthusiasm for working with glass is infectious and his knowledge about his specialisation is vast! We packed lots into the day but it felt very relaxed. We were able to work at our own pace as our projects took shape and if needed help and advice was at hand. I’m really pleased with the finished piece. I can’t wait to try something a little more challenging next time."

Gabi reviewed: Leather Crossbody/Messenger or Tote bag

"Richard was so knowledgable and gave a great introduction into the processes of vegetable tanning leather and different types of hides at the beginning of the course that was very interesting. The cross body bag workshop was a great way to learn many different techniques in one day and it was so satisfying to come away with a finish piece I could wear after just a few hours! The workshop was not restrictive and I was allowed to adapt the design of the bag along the way which made it feel very personal. I’m looking forward to practising my skills on my next project!"

Arthur reviewed: Make your own blacksmithing tools - 3 day course

"I would recommend this course to anyone interested in making their own blacksmith’s tools. You will make a series of tools; many designed to help make other tools on the course list, along with tools for bending and making scrolls. Peat’s relaxed teaching style and encouragement during the 3 days allowed me to improve significantly on past attempts at tong making and I am now equipped to continue building my tool collection. Peat, the food and the camaraderie all helped make this one of the best courses I have done in any craft discipline."
