Joanna Bellis reviewed: Beginner’s Soapmaking Workshop in Salisbury

"The second of Catherine's courses I've taken - this could become a habit! A really fascinating day mixing science with creativity to make your own bespoke soaps under expert guidance. Catherine has the skill to strike just the right balance between providing training in the process whilst making it fun. In an age of mass-produced everything, how refreshing it is to make something yourself - I can't wait to try out my handiwork."

Debby Robinson reviewed: Make a bra and knickers set

"An amazing course. Who would have guessed? We all left with real, wearable bespoke lingerie that we'd made ourselves! Eat your heart out M&S. Also left several pounds heavier after the scrumptious homemade goodies which kept us going all weekend. Thank you Helen but more pickled onions & fewer chocolate brownies next time please..."

Rob Coombs reviewed: Beginner’s Soapmaking Workshop in Salisbury

"What a fantastic day. Was not sure what to expect when I booked this as a birthday gift for my wife. In the lovely peaceful, rural setting at Holten Lee it exceeded all our expectations. Catherine took us through the soap making process and provided a comprehensive leaflet should anything be forgotten later. We made two soap recipes, the first with Catherine leading us, step by step and the second recipe she allowed us more independence. We left feeling excited and fulfilled. We enjoyed Catherine's friendly teaching style, all equipment was provided and we both feel confident enough to have a go at home. Great value. Thank you Catherine."

Debbie Harding reviewed: Stonecarving Weekend, Gloucestershire Cotswolds

"I was on the 2 day course. Sebastian was friendly and made everyone feel at ease. We began with a brief introduction about stone carving and the tools we would be using, and then were given a piece of stone to practise upon, which was really helpful. Once we felt ready, we were given our piece of stone and started our creations. Sebastian was really helpful. He gave good, clear advice and was always ready to give guidance when it was needed but allowed you to 'do your own thing'. It's helpful to have a picture or sketch of what you want to make, but there is a book you can use for inspiration if you haven't come with a plan. I absolutely loved my time stone carving and will definitely be back again. Everyone one on the course had a lovely creation at the end of the weekend. Can't recommend highly enough!"

Ian Mitchell reviewed: Forge your own silver spoon, two day course

"I would have never have thought of signing up for this course, but I won it in a prize draw at an exhibition of silversmithing at the Harley Gallery. It turned out to be a most enjoyable two days. With no previous experience at all I succeeded in producing a remarkably spoon-like object. Charlotte was an excellent tutor with the right balance between showing you how to do it and letting you get on with it yourself. The workshop was well equipped and a good working environment. Having the piece hallmarked at the end of the process is a nice touch - gives you a warm feeling you've produced something of lasting value."

Heather Ward reviewed: Crafts in the Valley - Beginners glass fusing workshops in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire

"We had a fabulous day with Melanie. She is a very good tutor and we made lots of items on the day. I made a coaster, a dish, a star, a pendant and earings and decorated a small box. All the materials were included as were drinks, snacks and lunch. Melanie managed to get round the group and give loads of help and support. Treat yourself and get booked on the next course."

Kate Mercy reviewed: Full day card-making & scrapbooking classes in Portsmouth area

"What an amazing day. It was our first time making cards and we enjoyed every moment. The three Squirrels (Debbie, Claire and Clare) were fantastic and made us feel so welcome. It was superb value for money and a lovely way to meet new people who were doing so many different things. The demos were excellent and help was always at hand. The tools and equipment available were amazing; we had everything we could wish for and more. The cakes and cups of tea/coffee were in plentiful supply and it was a fun way to spend a Saturday learning a new craft. We shall be back, that's for sure! Thank you Squirrels :-)"

Lorna Reid reviewed: Stained Glass and Pique Assiette Mosaics course

"I have attended the two day course at Blue Sky Mosaics on two occasions. The first time was a gift from my husband and I couldn't have had a better birthday experience . Ann is a warm, giving teacher whose easy manner enables her students to learn a new craft and possibly develop a lifelong love of mosaic. There is inspiration aplenty around her studio with many of her own mosaics on display and there is a wonderful array of materials for student to use to create unique artworks to take home."

"What a lovely way to spend a Sunday! The course was a Christmas present from my daughter, a fantastic gift. Many thanks for a super day."

Ken Wallwork reviewed: Wood turning courses

"I would like to thank George and Sue for the lovely relaxed reception, which immediately put me at ease. Following a thorough explanation of what was going to take place, the morning consisted of making the bottom of the bowl, from a lovely piece of Sycamore, using the lathe and the cutting tools. With the bottom finished it was time for a delicious lunch, biscuits and a cup of tea! The afternoon session saw the completion of the bowl, with a laquer finish and one extremely happy customer! Many thanks for a fantastic day."

Katrina Evans reviewed: Needle felted Seascapes or landscapes with 2 Inspire You

"Rachel is a great tutor who uses skill alongside gentle humour to make us feel confident. She takes our ideas and helps us produce something unique. We were all excited by our results and each person took home a felt picture ready to mount, frame and hang on the wall. She had lots of suggestions for other ways to display our work, to make our picture part of a bag for example, different ways of framing or taking the process a step further by embellishing by hand or machine."

2 Inspire You responded:

"Thank you so much! It is nice to be able to pass on tips but the end results are your own inspiration."
