Gigha is an excellent tutor and took the time to make sure we were all on the right tracks and her studio is a lovely working environment. I never felt rushed or panicky that I wasn't going to finish my piece. I'd love to come back for another workshop."

"I have just completed the Fused Glass course and found the whole experience a delight. Gigha was an excellent tutor - patient, clear in her instructions and advice, keen to pass on her expertise and enthusiasm, and happy to provide plenty of design ideas. The variety of glass and embellishments available to students was exceptional, with none of the "rationing" I have experienced elsewhere. The environment was safe, with current H&S requirements well thought-out. Lunch and endless refreshments were well catered for. I've already booked another course, and intend to do them all!"

"We booked a private day for the three of us, a middle aged couple and Mum (82). None of us had ever worked with glass before. Gigha welcomed us with hot drinks and cookies, which were on offer throughout the day. And a jacket potato with salad lunch provided. We started with learning to cut glass in straight and curved lines which we all practiced extensively, before deciding what we’d like to make. We all decided to make different things as there was so much inspiration in the studio. Because it was a private session Gigha was very happy to accommodate this. There was lots of glass choices in both colour and texture. Once we had cut the glass we learned to remove sharp edges with the grinder and fixed copper tape around all edges. This was followed by applying flux and soldering the pieces together. I’m delighted to say that we all left with a lovely piece of artwork that we are proud to display in our home. One gothic inspired mirror, one light Catcher cube and one flat soaring bird light catcher. All very different, but fabulous memories of the day. If we are in the area again we will be booking another session with Gigha who is an excellent teacher and artist."

"My husband, myself and grand daughters' Nan were given a surprise to attend the mosaic glass workshop as his lordship's 75th birthday gift. All three of us first timers, never having held the tools or glass before as a craft. We thoroughly enjoyed the day. Seeing the pictures of our masterpieces, Gigha the patient tutor has people lined up to join the classes. Gigha has a lovely workshop with delicious lunch and refreshments.
