Brandon Robertson reviewed: Bladesmithing Experience Day

"Graham and David were amazing and seemed to take the whole day at the pace each person was working at. Had a lovely time doing all of the work on the blade myself, bar a few finishing touches, and would definitely recommend going to anyone. I will again in future."

Liz Lewis reviewed: Green Wood Chair Making - 6 Day Woodworking Course in South Devon

"This is a great course for anyone (and I mean anyone!) who has a desire to make their own chair. There is absolutely no experience necessary to complete this course and come home with a unique piece of furniture. Peter has a great depth of knowledge which he is happy to share. He guides you along the process from log to chair in a very relaxed manner, offering advice all the way. I spent a lovely week in great company, with lots of laughter and a desire to make more chairs!! Everyone helped each other out and we all came home very pleased with our work. I cannot recommend this course enough. If you are unsure, my advice would to be just go for it!!"

Emma Knowles reviewed: Introductory course covering wet felting and Nuno techniques in the beautiful Forest of Dean

"I wanted to do something different for my mum for mother’s day. I looked up felting courses after she showed an interest in it at an art exhibition. I thought it would also be something nice we could do together ... and as complete novices, we arrived with no expectations but ended up having a fantastic day, learned so much and Christine made everything easy to follow. We travelled from Bolton encouraged by the great reviews and it was definitely worth the trip! We had lots of opportunity to experiment, try lots of different techniques and ask questions. We both came away super inspired and shared the day with some really lovely people! (And gorgeous little Fife the dog) Thankyou so much , Christine! Lunch was also fantastic and We hope to be able to come back again! Emma and Julie x"

Tony Baker reviewed: Green Wood Chair Making - 6 Day Woodworking Course in South Devon

"Have just returned home after a 6 day chair making course - and my chair is stunning. But so were the chairs of the other people on the course, and no two the same. The sense of camaraderie that Peter fostered on the course made the whole experience deeply satisfying. There were no tears, but much laughter - and to come home with a beautiful piece of hand made, unique, green wood furniture is deeply satisfying. I can thoroughly recommend the course to novices and experienced woodworkers, who will be taken on a journey from a log to a chair. Thanks again Peter for a great week."

Scott reviewed: Blacksmithing for Beginners - Full Day Forging for One

"Always wanted to have a go at Blacksmithing and glad to say I had the chance on Chris's beginner course to do this. Had a fantastic if energising day at Chris's forge making keyings, hooks, metal poker and the like learning all aspects of blacksmithing. Chris's friendly tuition and guidance makes you feel totally at ease and he makes sure you are doing the work rather than him. You will not be disappointed."

Dave Bunn reviewed: One to one, One day, blacksmith course

"Many thanks to Alex, This was a very interesting day with plenty to absorb and practice on. This was a Christmas present from the family and to be honest, it couldn't have been better. For my very first time, it left me wanting more and still trying to work out how to transform my garage into a Forge ;) I am sure this will not be my first and last time at the Forge. Thanks for your patience. A good teacher."

Claudia reviewed: 121 - An Introduction to Cold Process Soap Making

"My Colleague Joyce and I, were really pleased with the excellent 121 Soap Making Course session we attended on 14th April 2018. We have both attended other soap making courses. However, Emma's course is the best that we have attended !!! As soon as you enter the lovely Soap Studio you are made to feel welcome, the scent of the lovely essential oils, immediately puts you at ease. Emma, takes the time to provide a comprehensive introduction into Soap Making, which is really insightful. The amount of information provided during the course is invaluable. Emma's generosity is evident throughout the day, not only in terms of the excellent accompanying handout, including soap recipes, but also the range of soaps we were able to make. We thoroughly enjoyed the creative process of making soap it was a lot of fun. Emma's patience, her willingness to share her knowledge, and the quality of the content of the training we received, is what sets Soapology Studio, apart from other Soap Schools. Emma, has has a passion for soap, and a passion for people. The encouragement and support we received, just left me feeling very grateful. If you are looking for a creative day out, or have a desire to start a soap business - I would encourage you to attend a course with Emma. You will not be disappointed. We are look forward to working with Emma, as we take the next steps in our Soap Business journey. Final note :The lunch provided is delicious ........"

"Wow, what a fabulous day. Hard work, busy and intensive, but so worth it. Judith is a great teacher, a perfect balance of teaching techniques and practical activity. Judith is really supportive and encouraging, she is extremely approachable and friendly. The six hours went so quickly and I came away with thirteen A4 prints of my original lino cut in different colours and on different backgrounds. Darrall Wilson reviewed: Aromatherapy workshop

"What a great way to spend a day. Our host, Catherine was patient and encouraging in equal measure, she allowed us to explore our ideas and helped develop them into wonderful finished items that at the start of the day I would not have thought I was capable of producing. I would recommend to anybody of any age or skill level, experience is not required. Interesting topical chat and plenty of tea on tap all held in a wonderful old mill."

Jo and Richard reviewed: Two leather long stitch journals in a day

"My husband and I had a fun day learning to make leather journals with Lynne The whole day was really well structured; allowing progress at our own pace, plenty of timely advice and suggestions and a pause for tea and cake. Lynne's tuition ensured we each completed two different journals during the course, with lots of lovely options to ensure each was truly individual and special. A lovely day, at a gentle pace that delivered both completed projects and the knowledge to try it again at home. A great course!"
