David Campbell reviewed: Wood turning courses in the Midlands

"Just completed a day’s tuition with Mark. To say you get value for money is an understatement. We started at 09:30 and finished at 19:30. I only started turning as a hobby just before Christmas 201. So that Mark could asses what knowledge I had, we covered the basics of the lathe and tools. I had with me the tools I have been using, so discussed different grinds on each. There is not enough time to cover all the items we discussed on the day which was massive. At the end of the day I came away with lovely bowl, but more importantly a lot of excellent information. Suffice to say, for anyone wanting to take up woodturning as a hobby or improve their technics, get in touch with Mark and you will not be disappointed with the amount of information you will gain in just a few hours. I usually never recommend anyone unless they deserve it (which is seldom) but Mark is one of the exceptions I make. I intend to get some practice in, and then arrange for another visit."

Janice Chatham reviewed: One day bangle/ring workshop

"I thoroughly enjoyed my day with Jolene. She was very welcoming and she demonstrated very clearly the techniques and steps we were going to experience. I was not confident that I would achieve making any decent bangles, but I was delighted with the results! She gave me lots of encouragement and it was a really fun day. I would certainly recommend this course to others, it is so nice to produce your own 3 bangles and learn new skills."

"Steve. Thank you for an interesting and informative day, and introduction to woodturning. Your explanation of tools, technique and properties of different woods was easy to understand and hopefully this was evident in the pieces I made......almost by myself ? Thank you again, and if I need a refresher at anytime I will gladly book another course."

Charlotte Elizabeth reviewed: One day needle felting workshop with Celestine and the Hare

"I really enjoyed the day with Karin. She is an excellent teacher and shares her expertise generously. I have a fair amount of experience with needle felting but felt that I learned so much. It is so good to find new ways of doing things and use different fibres. The other people on the course were fun and the conversation flowed too. We were treated with cake, tea and coffee in between the felting. I would recommend the courses to anyone, whether a total beginner or someone with experience, as Karin works in a way that benefits all."

Tiffany reviewed: Introduction to candle-making as a business

"We had a fantastic day with Jo, candle making extraordinaire! Our aim was to learn how to make candles for our jellewery business, we had tried learn on our own but couldn't get it. A day with Jo helped us iron out all of our questions and gain a huge array of knowledge. The course is great for people who want to learn for themselves or for a business. The best part is you get to take home a huge array of candles and goodies."
