Anniversaries

My husband and I signed up for Dave's course to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. What a great day we had! Dave is a natural communicator. He is easy to get along with and passionate about his knife making craft. His clear and patient instruction, encouragement and help enabled us both to make absolutely beautiful functional (very sharp) knives. I would highly recommend this course! 10 out of 10!

My wife and I booked onto a 1 hour pottery throwing experience for our 39th wedding Anniversary, and Geoff did not disappoint us. He was faultless throughout the class from start to finish, with excellent tuition on how to throw the clay onto the wheel and how to proceed to make a clay pot. 10 out of 10. Very enjoyable.

I got in touch with Athelstane Forge with the idea of arranging something for my wife and I's sixth (iron!) wedding anniversary - Sophie and Sandy took this vague idea and turned it into a wonderful day at the forge, creating a very special and uniquely designed piece! From the first contact onwards, Sophie was so kind and helpful, and Sandy was brilliant in sharing his skills and teaching us the basics of blacksmithing during our day at the forge. A wonderful experience all round - thank you!

We made rings for each other with Anna to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. Anna was thorough, from pre booking information to guiding us during the day. Anna was very encouraging with many hints and tips to help us craft wonderful rings. We came away so fulfilled and excited at our creations which would only be possible with Anna's patience.

We had a great morning, as part of our wedding anniversary celebration. Fascinating to learn more about chalk paint, and to go home with a creation! We were very touched by the Prosecco, card and glasses, so thank you. I look forward to attending a furniture restoration class.

My husband and I attended a half-day wood turning workshop to celebrate our 5th (wooden) wedding anniversary, and it was absolutely brilliant! The workshop was led by Chris, who was an exceptional tutor. His extensive knowledge and encouraging demeanor made the experience both educational and enjoyable. As complete novices, the workshop setup was perfect, providing everything we needed to catch the wood turning bug. Chris guided us through each step with patience and expertise, ensuring we felt confident and capable. By the end of the day, we had crafted two beautiful bowls, a tangible reminder of a fantastic experience. We can't recommend this workshop enough—it's a must-try for anyone interested in wood turning. Thank you, Chris, for making our anniversary so special!
