Description
This is a fabulous taster session for 2 people to make a piece of glass art each. £50 per person, but I have found it better to take bookings for pairs through this website. If you are an individual, you might fit into my normal public programme, or if you are a bigger group, just get in touch to talk about a specific date. Play with various glass elements to create an abstract, highly textured free standing wave form, approx 32cm x 7cm tall. Layer pre-cut pieces of glass, including iridescent wavy strips, frit balls, rods, and crushed glass to create your unique design. Described by many as collage with glass, I've prepared everything for you so there is no glass cutting needed in this fun way to think about texture and forms to evoke memories or daydreams of the sea. Note: You will need to leave your designs with me for them to be fired, cleaned and finished, this will take approximately 3 weeks, and then we will arrange a suitable collection day/time or postage at cost (approx £6). Please don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss any queries you may have, big or small.
What's included in the price?
A session cost is for 2 people. This is a fun, informal workshop where you can spend 2 hours making a piece each of glass art each. All specialist materials and tools needed to create your design along with both firings to create a free standing glass art piece approx 36cm x 8cm. But if you have any ideas or inspirational imagery please bring them along and make sure to wear comfy clothes and closed toed shoes. It is not a dirty process but an apron is recommended. All firing and finishing will be done for you and pieces will be ready for collection approximately 3 weeks after the workshop. Postage can be arranged at cost. The workshop is open to other participants and my studio is also a shop/gallery space. As a little extra thank you for booking a workshop, I give you a 10% discount on any purchases on the day too.
