Christmas

My daughter and I had a fabulous Festive afternoon making Christmas wreaths with Jenni Wren. We were total beginners but that didn’t matter at all. Jenni was very patient and explained things very clearly. We didn’t feel rushed at all and nothing was too much trouble. We came away with two beautiful wreaths and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Highly recommended.

This was a fantastic experience. Steve explained the process in an easy to understand way & was there to help. It isn't as easy as he made it look but at the end I was very proud & pleased with my very special Christmas bauble. My friends have commented how nice it is that we have decided to go next year so they can also have this pleasing experience too.

A truly wonderful day spent at The Slipper Studio with Liz. Myself and two friends used the course as a pre Christmas get together and we weren’t disappointed. The studio is in a wonderful setting with gorgeous views and with Christmas music playing in the background, copious amounts of tea, coffee and chocolate biscuits, we set about creating our small wire sculptures. We made a hanging ornament on a flower/dried grass theme and then some similar sculptures to stand in a small vase. After lunch we made Christmas baubles and a miniature Christmas tree with a cork as its base. I couldn’t quite believe how many beautiful goodies we came away with. Liz explained and demonstrated the skills needed for the day with clarity and patience with lots of praise and help when needed. A really enjoyable day that I would thoroughly recommend.

Two daughters-in-law came with me for a pre-Christmas girlie workshop and had a great time. We all made knives from a wee craft knife to a forest crafting knife for gardening. Lots of 'hard' learning but so very enjoyable amid the forge, fire craft, plunging in oil, toughening steel, sanding, power drilling, buffing and sharpening. Very proud of our achievements and so intensely grateful to Alex for his superb teaching skills, leadership, patience, understanding and downright superbness. A very exciting day and thrilled to have learned something so new!

My husband and I bought ourselves this experience for Christmas. It was absolutely fantastic! Bill was brilliant, patient, attentive, knowledgeable and a joy to spend the day with. We're so happy with the bowls we made, they'll take pride of place on the kitchen island...full of popcorn!

I received this course as a Christmas present and I must admit that it was one of the best presents I have received. Arian is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. As a medieval re-enactor I wanted a knife that was an authentic replica. Arian took this on board and I produced a knife that I am extremely proud of. Being a complete beginner I didn't expect to to have something that looks professionally made. I have been asked where did you buy that? It's the greatest feeling to say " I didn't buy it, I made it". I would recommend this to anyone with an interest.

I do enjoy a good craft course and this was an awesome Christmas present. Claire gave us a glass cutting tutorial and explained how to construct a glass picture. We got to create whatever picture we wanted and Claire was on hand to advise and assist. The Larick Centre was a nice venue and there was a café on site too. Can’t wait to see the finished article once it’s fired in the kiln and posted out to me.

Absolutely fantastic day spent making Hares with Jo. I bought the course for my Mum and dad and sister as a family Christmas present . What a fantastic gift they absolutely LOVED IT! We all came away with a sculpture we are proud of. Jo is wonderful as is her studio and garden. I would highly recommend.
