Needle felted Dogs and Cats in Hebden Bridge
Description
A full day workshop with highly experienced fibre artist Josephine Gornall in her warm studio which is in the historic Birchcliffe Centre nestled above Hebden Bridge near woodland. Discover how to make a gorgeous little needle felted dog or cat of any breed or type using just a felting needle to felt natural wool fibres together. Learn how to create the body, legs and head, how to do body shaping and sculpting. Followed by making some ears to bring your mini pet to life. How to blend colours to make the specific colours of your pet, and make features, to create the unique character of your dog or cat. Complete your wool sculpture by adding a nose and glass eyes. Bring along a few photos of your pet for reference (ideally printed or on a larger device than a phone if possible as easier to see) if you would like to make a little needle felted replica animal that needs no feeding or walking! Or create your own fantasy or cartoon style dog or cat. Private bespoke workshops are available for families and friends in my studio, or another venue, also including one to ones. Please get in touch to discuss the options and possibilities. The Birchcliffe Centre is a fully accessible building. There is a free car park. There is also well priced accomodation right next door if your travelling a distance. Hebden Bridge is a thriving small town packed with independent shops and cafes. There is a Railway station and a regular bus service which stop's right outside the Birchcliffe centre.
