Description
Tutor: Katherine Richmond Learn the fascinating art of metal clay to create intricate charms, earrings or a pendants. On this 4 hour session you will learn how to roll textures with texture mats, form shapes with cutters, use silicone moulds and fire the clay with hand held torches. You will also use finishing techniques such as filing, sanding, brass brushing and use a pendant motor with attachments for polishing.
What's included in the price?
10g of metal clay and jump rings are included in the course fee. This is enough to make 5 charms or 3 larger pendants. Chains are extra and can be purchased on the day.

Maker
I was interested in making and designing from a very early age and developed my first jewellery range in 2000. I then discovered my love for teaching in 2004 and have been developing my courses ever since. I have a home teaching studio for 1:1 & 1:2 sessions and in 2017 I set up a teaching studio at Yardley Arts where I can teach up to 11 learners. Qualifications: BA in Designed Metalwork and Jewellery from BCUC and MA Royal College of Art Goldsmithing, Silversmithing, Metalwork and Jewellery.
