Description
Silver clay jewellery making is a unique craft technique that uses silver clay—a malleable material made of tiny particles of silver mixed with an organic binder and water—to create custom jewellery. Silver clay can be shaped, moulded, and textured like regular clay, making it ideal for creating intricate designs and fine details. Once the piece is formed, dried, and fired, it leaves behind a 99.9% solid, pure silver piece. Popular among both beginners and experienced makers, this method combines the ease of working with clay with the elegance and durability of silver. A course in silver clay jewellery offers the chance to create personalised, one-of-a-kind pieces that reflect your individual style, with support to explore various designs, textures, and shapes. Silver clay is also highly beginner-friendly, making it accessible even if you have no prior experience in jewellery making. With hands-on guidance from experienced instructors, you’ll quickly learn the techniques for working with this versatile material, gaining practical tips to produce polished, durable results. Plus, the course provides a supportive learning environment where you can connect with fellow enthusiasts, share creative ideas, and gain feedback on your work. By the end, you’ll be able to create beautiful, unique jewellery pieces to wear or gift, along with the skills to continue crafting with confidence at home. At the end of the course, you’ll take home all the beautiful jewellery pieces you’ve created, along with the invaluable knowledge and skills you’ve gained to continue exploring silver clay on your own.
What's included in the price?
All materials and resources will be provided. This includes 10 grams of silver clay on the day, with the option to purchase more if needed. We will begin with learning how to work with silver clay. Then we shape and mould into your chosen design, similar to working with regular clay. Once your piece is created, we allow it to dry fully before firing, leaving you with a solid silver item. After firing, we polish and finish the piece, revealing a beautiful, pure silver jewellery creation that will be ready to wear or gift.
