Evening ceramics course, Thursday evenings. 27th February to 3rd April 2025 6:30pm - 8:30pm This course is suitable for adults who are beginners or intermediate learners. Start spring with creativity on a relaxing ceramics course to create items both functional and decorative. Over six weeks we shall explore the ceramic hand-building techniques of coiling, slab building, and pinching. Plus surface decoration using coloured slips and glazes. Please note that course does not include a pottery wheel. After learning about the basics, you can follow set projects, peruse the folders and books for inspiration or bring your own ideas to create. Tuition in a group setting. Some one-to-one during the course. Materials: clay, glazes, slips and kiln firings, tools and aprons. Light refreshments: tea, coffee, milk (cows), squash/cordial, biscuits.

FAQs
Three hours long which includes introduction, making time and tidy-up time. Please arrive approximately 10-15 minutes prior to the start to allow for any new starer administration.
Tuition in a group setting. All materials, this includes a range of different clays, decorating materials (glazes and slips) use of tools, aprons and any equipment, kiln firings. Light refreshments will be available; tea, coffee and squash/cordial.
Although plans sometime change and unforeseen incidents and commitments occur, I cannot issue any refunds in these circumstances. Refunds will only be issued if I need to cancel a class(es).
Moving bookings is also not possible unless the classes can be covered by another person, such as when the class is fully booked, but there is interest from someone else. You can should you wish to transfer your booking to another person, at your arrangement.
Unfortunately it is not possible to only pay and attend classes that you are able to attend. This is due to logistics, ensuring overheads are covered and that the classes can be offered at a reasonable cost.
Unfortunately no children can be brought to this class. Children aged 14+ who wish to engage in the classes will be charged the same cost of the class and are to be accompanied by a paying and participating adult.
No dogs unless they are registered assistance dogs.
These classes are held at a village/community hall in a residential area.
Yes, on a first come - first served basis. Otherwise street parking. If you have any specific mobility needs, please contact me.
