Gardens & Landscape, a Gelli Print Workshop with Louise Adams
Description
This day workshop is an introduction to Gelli printing, a form of mono printing that uses flexible printing plates to create textures and layers of colour. The flexible gelli plate enables us to make beautiful botanical prints; the colours you choose and the arrangements you make will be printed in acrylic paint on various papers including fine deli wrap paper, a strong wax coated tissue that is excellent for collage. We'll explore ways to make textures and images, using stencils that we design and cut together, creative stamps made by Louise and painting. We will make lots of wonderful material to use to make a large collage, or a concertina book, inspired by gardens and landscapes. After lunch, we will design and create images based on gardens and landscapes. These can be large collages or be cut up and transformed into a concertina book.
