Experimental Gelli Printing Processes and Techniques with Clare Cosens

Description

In this NEW exciting workshop, you will learn how to create fabulous prints using the Gelli plate. Whether you are a beginner or looking to develop your Gelli printing techniques, this workshop is perfect for you! During this workshop, you will use handcrafted stamps, stencils and masks, exploring a 'patchwork style' printing technique to create multi-layered Gelli print designs that are truly unique. You will experiment with a wide range of colour combinations exploring the characteristics of both opaque and transparent paints. You will gain a greater understanding of the different types of paint allowing you to unleash your creativity and experiment with different effects - The possibilities are endless! You will have the opportunity to print onto different substrates and create your own tapes, adding another level of customisation to your prints. Don't worry if you're new to Gelli printing, as this workshop is suitable for beginners. The class will be guided, providing a step-by-step demonstration and valuable tips along the way. By the end of the workshop, you will have a collection of unique prints to take home and showcase your newfound skills.
