Come learn chain making techniques on this full day workshop. We will explore how to get movement and fluidity in your design and how to use aspect ratios in design. Topics we cover: - soldering vs fusing vs open links - wrapped loop vs open loop - aspect ratio - material differences and how to choose well - gravity and how the chain is worn - weight consideration - how to build up a link chain quickly - pick soldering - argentium fusing - cold connection types - handmade links and balling up connections You may use the large jumpring machine here to manufacture links or use your design skills to make your own custom link type.

What's included in the price?

You will be given premade open jumprings to practice techniques on and you need to bring in your chosen material to work in. If you want to practice looping and wrapped loops make sure your wire is the right gauge for your beads. Feel free to bring in Argentium wire to try out fusing if you wish - a great material for playing with.
