"I bought this for my partner’s birthday as he’d mentioned his interest in forging previously, and decided to try my hand at it too. What a brilliant experience! Matt was really thorough explaining processes and techniques. He gave us the space to learn how to understand each process for ourselves, but was always on hand if we asked for assistance. I went into this thinking that I might not do too well as I’m not the strongest, but with Matt’s support and encouragement, I’ve come away with something I can be proud of. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you Matt :) "

"A brilliant day with Matt at Fair Mile Forge learning traditional blacksmithing techniques to create our own blacksmith knives. I have wanted to delve into the art of forging for a while and I am very grateful to Matt for giving me the bug to keep learning! I shall be returning for more. I really can’t recommend the courses at Fair Mile Forge enough! Matt is a great guy and a fantastic teacher; you are in good, safe hands!"

"I booked this course for my husband and son for a joint Christmas present. They both had a fantastic day and made many memories. The website was easy to use, I messaged the website with some queries prior to booking and Matt came back straight away. Friendly, approachable, enthusiastic and professional, Matt was a great tutor who put them at ease straight away. A great day, and would recommend it to anyone looking to do a similar experience. "

"Wicked Fun, Awesome course and tutor :-), Definitely would love to do another blacksmithing day or 2 again. Very interesting facts, and a eye opener to different skills and techniques to the blacksmithing crafting world. Went as a group of four on my cousin's birthday, a complete novice, yet with the brilliant friendly guidance and loads of help from Matt (tutor) and Floyd we all produced 4 great starter hooks and 4 striking knives. A memorable challenge that can be done reaping great rewarding achievements. "
