Description
Learn the basics of blacksmithing in this hands-on introductory morning taster session. Spend 3 hours learning the basics of forging with Matt or Floyd trying your hand making small items such as leaf keyrings and hooks to take away with you and treasure or give as gifts for friends! You will be instructed how to use the fires and a talk on safety and then learn about heating your steel and hammering, after that a demo or two of some trinkets then its over to you. guidance and instruction will be on hand throughout the session will finish at midday where you will be free to take home your glorius items ! 3 hour taster session slots are available morning and afternoon starting at 9:00am and 2:00pm respectively every fortnight. All tools and materials will be provided, please wear suitable clothing you dont mind getting dirty or marked. Cotton clothing is ideal like jeans and cotton shirt, please dont wear acrylic or nylon clothing. Refreshments of Tea and coffee are provided but you are advised to bring a lunch with you or a take out can be arranged from the local pub.
