Samantha Wells reviewed: Bespoke candle making workshop - Edinburgh

"Picture perfect setting, welcoming host. I arrived harassed and exhausted and was immediately calmed by the site of the layout of the room. Farmhouse vibes, wood, rustic yet uber uber chic. The class was friendly informative and inspiring. Entirely satisfying coming away with a candle that has been made from scratch and scented the way I wanted. The whole set up was Instagram heaven but I had phone firmly off and enjoyed the whole process just as was. Fab coffee and cake and Kerry was full of soul and energy. Will definitely recommend and would be lovely for all age groups."

Jason Clark reviewed: Firebird Forge Blacksmithing School

"Has a great day on the course, just the two learners so excellent support and assistance with enough supervision to let you get on with it but enough intervention to ensure what you make is worth taking home. Scope to design and make what you want (within reason), the other guy made a knife whilst I made a doorknocker consisting of a banana striking a banana leaf - see what you make really is up to you, and with help it turned out to be recognisable. I was so proud of it I took it to show my Mum and Dad the next day (I'm 50)."

Paula Sutton reviewed: Willow Den Building - Including Willow to take home to recreate your very own den at home!

"Booked a year ago and paid deposits for two places but no course date offered. Tried to email to get dates sorted but kept being told they would contact me when dates available. Eventually gave up on getting a date or my deposits refunded."

Holly reviewed: One day silver jewellery making in Worcestershire.

"I received this course as a birthday gift from my Mum. We arrived on the day following the clear instructions and followed the signs to the river. Spotting the picnic table and chairs we knew we were in the right place! Jonathon is an excellent teacher, starting with the basics and building up our skills through the day - with countless cups of tea (and a cake break)! My mum made a silver open bangle and I made a set of stacking rings. We had the most enjoyable day and would certainly love to go back and do it all again! A perfect day! Thank you so much Jonathon."

Samantha Mallett reviewed: Creative Vibe - Glassblowing Sessions

"Being a complete novice I was nervous about the course....but I loved every minute. Ricky was funny, patient and an amazing teacher. I produced four pieces getting harder each time. I really didn’t want it to end. Nothing was to much trouble for Ricky who took time with each of us to produce a stunning piece of glass work. I have recommended this course to anyone that will listen and if you have never had a go...book this course...you really won’t regret it. I’m hooked on glassblowing now and saving for the next course!!! Thank you Ricky. X"

Edna reviewed: Feltmaking OOH the choices!

"I came to Barbara's workshop for the 2nd time with my sister. Although I had tried Nuno Felting before I had a lot to learn from Barbara. We had a fantastic day and I came home with the most beautiful scarf which has had rave reviews from people when I have worn it. My sister has been equally pleased. Not only did we learn we had lots of fun along the way"

Feltworld - Creative Arts responded:

"Thank you for your very encouraging review Edna :-)"

Flora reviewed: Natural Dyeing & Eco-printing, Highlands, Scotland

"Fabulous 2 days. Rosie is very knowledgeable and a great communicator. We spent time outdoors, identified and foraged for plants to use in the natural dyeing process. It was great to find out what plants are easily available and which parts of the plants impart the best colour. Rosie packed a lot in but never overwhelmed. We were even given a chance to try some ecoprinting-fab. By the end of the two days we had an ecoprinted bag filled with colourful samples of the fleece From our dyepots, a notebook to identify each sample and the dye process and printed instructions to follow when home. Unlike some courses the 2 days were uplifting rather than exhausting. Lovely lunch, ideal setting, perfectly organised from start to finish. Definitely recommend."

Sandy Lagan reviewed: Glove making workshop

"I did the course with Vajira in Nottingham. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Left with the knowledge I came all the way from Cape Town for. Vajira is lovely and patient. On the down side... we were not offered light lunch, tea and cake ;-p (kidding). I have no hesitation recommending this course."

Victoria Watson reviewed: Knitting workshops in Leeds City Centre

"I met Ann yesterday for a beginner's crochet lesson. She is a really good teacher and very patient. It took me a while to get my head around it but by the end I was impressed with how far I'd come. I finished off my granny square at home using the really useful information sheets she gave me. I highly recommend the workshop and plan to see Ann again for more lessons once I have mastered granny squares."

Leeds Central Faith and Light responded:

"Thank you Vicky for your kind words and I'm glad you were able to finish your granny square when you got home. I could see that it was frustrating for you not to be able to get the hang of things at first, but you've obviously managed it now. Keep up the good work."

Barbara Davis reviewed: 2-Day Traditional Stained Glass Painting Course for Beginners

"Although a two day workshop for beginners and I had not done any glass painting before , at the end of the workshop I felt confident enough to paint on glass in the traditional manner. Nathalie is a brilliant teacher and so knowledgeable about traditional methods I immediately felt comfortable in the studio. I would recommend this workshop to anyone who wants 2 days of getting away from it all to learn a skill which has been practised for hundreds of years. You will not be an expert but an inspired learner!"

Tony Amies reviewed: Woodturning in Devon with Colin Simpson

"Just spent three days with Colin and learnt so much. I have previously had some turning tuition in group classes, so this was a great opportunity to iron out the bad habits, gain confidence and learn new techniques and skills. The three days were tailored to my exact requirements and interests, but with sufficient flexibility to explore new things when an opportunity arose. Colin is an excellent teacher, with endless patience combined with a good sense of humour. Thoroughly enjoyable, definitely recommended."
