"This was a truly excellent experience overall- my daughter was keen to make a top hat and Christine made one the day prior to the course so that she was well-prepared to support my daughter’s project, which turned out fantastically well. We each came away with hats we love, completely made in the one day, and I was so impressed by Christine’s skills, knowledge, and enthusiasm for her craft, as well as the lovely location of her workshop and the facilities she had. Amazing range of colours on offer and lots of examples for inspiration as well. Thoroughly recommend! "

"We spent a thoroughly lovely day with Christine, playing with colour and texture, chatting, laughing and creating, with frequent coffee and tea and an excellent homemade lunch. From my original enquiry - this was a special surprise birthday present for my sister - Christine was enthusiastic, helpful and accommodating. We are both crafting novices. Christine was happy to be flexible and we made our final decision on the day to make felt hats (but were tempted too by the slippers and bags on show). We not only made our hats, beyond that is was a real eye-opener what you can do with felt in terms of patterns, material-mix, shapes, and uses. It is a very intimate learning environment giving each of us time to try and get help. "I attended a felt hat making course and enjoyed every part of it. The start with great coffee. Christine warmly explains every step and diplomatically explains should you make a mistake! Not that I did!! Flapjacks for mid morning and a fabulous homemade, with homegrown ingredients, lunch just topped off the experience with lovely people. All that and a hat!"
