"My experience on this course was very positive. The course was structured well, I have learnt a lot about leather work in a short time. Starting from leather production process, purchasing/choosing right leather for a project, choosing right tools/their proper use, to making and finishing items. Everything was explained clearly and any questions I had during the process were answered. Richard shared his personal experience and gave advice in developing business as well, which was very useful and insightful for me. I felt that the small number of students made a difference too. During the course I made a key chain, card holder and a belt. Richard was very pleasant, patient and generous with his time. He also offered advice if needed after the course. Being tutored by him was real pleasure. I highly recommend this course. Thanks!"

"Today I had a wonderful day learning to work with silver clay. I did not have any expectations as I hadn't done anything like this before. Sally was fab and supported me in coming up with my very own design for a necklace pendant. I even managed to come out with a small pair of earrings too as I had more than enough clay. Excellent day, great value for money. I would thoroughly recommend and will be returning."

"I have never done anything like this before so am an absolute beginner. I was amazed at how much I enjoyed woodcarving with Sarah. She is a natural teacher and explained patiently how to carve and how the grain of the wood dictates the direction of the cuts. I've always admired her work but now have an even greater respect for her skills and knowledge. I'd recommend this course wholeheartedly. Have a go!"

"Absolutely brilliant afternoon spent at Twisted Bobbins with Trish and very recommendable for anyone that wants to try something a little different. The environment itself within the workshop is inspirational with a whole variety of colours and materials to weave. I had never used a loom or weaved before but Trish actively encouraged me to use whatever colours or fabrics I liked whilst offering suggestions and ideas. With the hard work of setting up already done you can get straight into weaving and it was surprising how quickly you learn and gain confidence. Trish is great at teaching, answers all your questions and shares lots of information - she is never far away! I was absolutely delighted with my woven cloth from the workshop and plan to make a bag from it over the next few months. The whole experience was incredibly relaxing and yet skills were learnt. I would definitely go back again and try even more ideas out. I travelled from St. Mary's for the day so had a bonus of exploring St. Agnes too. Thanks Trish"

"Spent a lovely day with Kate learning how to make a willow sculpture. Never done this craft before and found Kate's instruction helpful and patient; she kept me on track so that I had a finished item by the end of the day, a heron. The workshop was held in Kate's beautiful garden and she provided refreshments and a lovely lunch. Very enjoyable and fantastic to come away with a finished item. Planning my next visit with a friend to develop my skills."

"I had a fantastic day learning how to make peonies. The process was so interesting and produced beautiful results. Rose explained and demonstrated every step very clearly and is a very supportive teacher. It was fun to learn a variety of techniques and so satisfying to watch it all take shape. Great day, great company, would definitely recommend and can’t wait to do another one myself :)"

"Despite slight anxiety about train delays I arrived just in time and everything was very relaxed. All new to me so I was really interested to find out how felting was done and how much energy it took! A lovely experience. Lunch was just right and the day went so fast. Barbara is a great host and has lots of tips and skills to pass on. A really enjoyable experience. Loved the tactileness of it all."

Adela is so knowledgable, friendly and helpful - she made us feel at ease and gave us the confidence to have a go. I would recommend to anyone who would like to do something a bit different."

With hindsight my design was incredibly ambitious for a beginner, however he helped me realise it, whilst also attending to 6 other beginners all with designs that required different methods and techniques.
