Recycled China Mosaic Workshop Full day /Half Day
Description
Experience the art of picassiette style mosaic making with Adela in a laid-back half day 3-hour or new extended option of a full day 6.5 hour workshop. Learn how to utilize tools to cut and shape pieces of old china and ceramic dinnerware to create stunning wall hangings. Adela provides a wide selection of plates and dinnerware to choose from, and you are also welcome to bring your own. Half day Option: This workshop runs from 10am -1pm. Select from a range of 10cm -20cm shapes such as fish, hearts, birds,to make your mosaic. Depending on your pace and level of detail, you may have the opportunity to create multiple mosaics. If you’d like to make more than three, additional shapes can be purchased for £3. Full Day option: This workshop runs from 10am – 4.30pm Due to many requests and comments how quickly time flies on the 3 hour workshop I have now added a full day option! In this longer workshop you can select from a range of larger shapes – up to 30cm, such as mermaid, flower bunch, large heart or star. Spend more time on your piece and really get into your groove as you explore the addicting art of finding the right piece and discovering the playful combination of shapes and patterns of the vast amount of plates and crockery on offer. You are welcome to make smaller mosaics too, if time allows. We will break for lunch at 1pm for 30 minutes. This mosaic workshop is suitable for all skill levels. So, don’t wait any longer, sign up now and unleash your creative side! There is parking by the studio but be aware the carpark entrance has a steep drive entrance, and is very potholey and very puddly in wet weather. At weekends it is possible to park along the main Industrial Estate road and walk to the studio. Look out for the yellow New Holland sign, my pavement sign and the entrance to the car park is opposite. Please wear suitable clothing and closed toe shoes. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided but please bring snacks or a light lunch if you wish. It is highly unlikely you will be able to grout your mosaic on the day due to the adhesive needing to dry. However you will be given a grouting demonstration and grout to take home. Please contact if you wish to book an alternative date for a private workshop for a group of 4 or more.
