Description

Step into a world of nature-inspired creativity with willow artist Jacquie from Willow and Crafts as she guides you through the process of crafting your very own willow swift or swallow a charming decoration that can be hung on the wall etc and it is a great bird deterrent or visual aid if it is hung in a glass window or door, And a small but versatile cone basket which is perfect for a variety of uses including a bird feeder with fat balls, or providing materials for nest making, storing small items such as garlic or other collectables or even decorating with flowers, baubles, fairy lights the choice is yours Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or a first-time DIY-er, this workshop is suitable for all skill levels. and are a great way to attract birds to your garden

The price includes light refreshments, snacks, tools, and all necessary materials and free parking is included You will need to bring your lunch or if you prefer treat yourself to a light lunch at the cafe.

Hello, I am a willow sculptor / artist based near Southampton in Hampshire. You will often find me outside under my shelter making sculptures or outside creating work from materials that I have found. I teach in a variety of venues in and around Hampshire, as well as exhibiting my work at various art shows. I create work to commission as well as providing bespoke workshops for private and public events and projects.

"This was my birthday treat, creating bird feeder to learn techniques, then scaling up to create a garden obelisk in the afternoon. Jackie shared her knowledge of different willows and techniques - fascinating to see the different interpretations of the same tuition. The day was rounded off by creating 'dragonfly' shapes using similar techniques to making corn dollies. Feel quite satisfied today as I remembered how to make them and made two more 'dragonflies'. Thoroughly enjoyed the day doing something completely different."
