Willow Weaving ‘Pheasant’ Workshop

X

Description

On this one-day willow weaving course, come and create a beautiful bird using a metal framework and free-weaving techniques. Your tutor, Jane Roberts, will demonstrate step by step and help you throughout the process. This workshop is designed for adults of any creative level, and is the perfect way to spend the day learning a new skill and meeting like-minded people. Jane has a passion for all things natural and weaving. Plus, a passion for running workshops for people who want to learn a new skill and have some fun whilst doing it! She has a BA in Fine Art from the University of Northampton and is a member of the Basket-maker’s Association. Jane has been delivering and managing community arts workshops and projects for over 20 years. At the end of the workshop, not only will you be able to take your newly created bird home... you may want to come back to do more willow weaving in the future! The group is kept to a maximum of 8, so everyone will have individual instruction and support. The course will take place in our training barn at Stanwick Lakes, a beautiful 750-acre nature reserve and visitor attraction in the heart of Northamptonshire’s Nene Valley.
