Seasonal Decorations - All Things Willow
Description
A fun willow weaving workshop making decorations for use on the tree or around the home for the 2024 festive season. You will make and take home two small reindeer, two stars, and a small tree trivet – possibly more! These small decorations make adorable displays or great Christmas gifts for family and friends. All items will be made out of willow (with a little extra foliage or decoration if desired). We will use and learn basic weaving techniques that can be used ine the future future time for trying something a little more challenging and creative, if you so wish. Your tutor, Jane Roberts, will demonstrate each step and help you throughout the process. This workshop is designed for adults of any creative level and is the perfect way to spend the day learning a new skill and meeting like-minded people. Jane has a passion for all things natural and weaving and has been delivering and managing community arts workshops and projects for over 20 years. She has a passion for running workshops for people who want to learn a new skill and have some fun whilst doing it! She also has a BA in Fine Art from the University of Northampton, and is a member of the Basket-maker’s Association.
