Description
Come and make your very own willow shopper basket! On this basket making course you will learn how to make your own functional willow basket that will last for many years to come. I will teach you how to make the base, add the uprights, weave the sides and add a handle. This workshop is suitable for beginners. Reasonable hand strength and mobility is required. People with arthritic hands may struggle with this full day course, however, I'm happy to give a hand to anyone who might need it. I will supply hot drinks and biscuits. Please bring your own lunch and any refreshments.

Maker
The Coppice Co. started in 2020 after Suz Williams finished her two year apprenticeship as a coppice worker and traditional craft maker. Since then she has been teaching traditional woodland crafts across the country. Her speciality is willow weaving, split hazel baskets and spoon carving.
