Description

Join us for a fun and relaxed festive workshop with our expert printmaker Zara Emily where you will learn the fantastic relief print making technique of Lino printing to create some stunning festive images for gifting! Using specialist tools, firstly you'll be taught how to carve into a Lino block and then print onto Christmas cards. Zara will show you art of colour mixing and the method of rolling out the printing ink to print onto card. You will then design and carve a second block to create a motif which can be printed in a repeat pattern - Perfect for making handmade gift wrap and gift tags. At the end of the course you will take home your prints, plus the Lino blocks, so you can keep printing to your hearts content! Our home for the day will be the stunning surroundings of Pennard House, a Grade II listed manor house nestled in the idyllic Somerset countryside. The friendly team at Pennard will ensure you are well looked after throughout your visit with a beautiful 2-course lunch and refreshments, not to mention a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. No previous experience is needed so, no matter what your level, Zara will support you through every stage of the process.
