An Introduction to Block Printing on Fabric
Description
Welcome to the wonderful world of Block Printing! Learn to hand stamp using beautiful wooden blocks hand carved by Artisans in India. Create your own design and take away 1 beautiful quality cotton tea towel. After a welcome coffee/tea or herbal tea, I will demonstrate how to print with the blocks using fabric paint. You will then get "hands on" and practise on paper and spare fabric until you feel confident and ready to take your design to your tea towel. Once you have finished your masterpiece I will explain how to heat set your design at home ready for its life as a hard working tea-towel or just one you use "for best". NO experience needed, just a desire to meet like minded people, eat cake, socialise and have fun producing your own pieces to take home. The workshops are held in my conservatory studio in our 17th Century home and depending on weather, you are welcome to enjoy the gardens (if we are not out there printing!).

If you have any complex food intolerances or allergies it would be a good plan to bring your own snacks however if you let us know in good time we can usually accommodate gluten free or nut free baking. Of course we cannot guarantee that cakes will have been produced in a kitchen that is nut and gluten free as they are home made.

Parking is quite limited 4-5 spaces and I have close neighbours, so I will ask you not to park near their houses. I will be there to guide you in and show you where is best.
