Description

If you are interested in learning how to hand stamp and texturise your own silver jewellery, along with learning basic silversmithing skills then this is the course for you. The hand stamped & textured course is suitable for absolute beginners to people with some prior experience who may wish to build upon the skills they already have. The skills you will learn during the course are how to measure your chosen jewellery piece in order to set out the correct stamping positions, along with learning how to work out how many characters you can use on particular jewellery pieces. In addition to this, students will also learn how to add different texturers to different metal types. Dependent on the jewellery pieces selected students may also get the chance to learn how to anneal & shape the different metals into the desired jewellery shapes; along with learning how to saw, soldier & cure the metals before finishing with buffing and polishing them to a high shine finish. This course is very interactive and continued support is offered throughout the length of the course, whilst at the same time allowing students to work independently. The course runs for 2 hours, but on the odd occasion can slightly overrun to enable students to complete the piece of jewellery they are working on.
