Description
This short introduction to stained glass seeks to give students a window into stained glass making. We will cover: - Design, actualizing a sketch into a viable project. - Glass cutting. - Leading and soldering. - Lead casting. Johannes is an experienced teacher and crafter, one of the original ‘crew’ at Ruskin Mill College in Nailsworth, ran the garden at Cotswold Chine Home School for children with learning difficulties and a teacher of art, craft, and humanities at the Acorn School in Nailsworth. Johannes is currently running Stained Glass and Mosaic Workshops in Stroud Pottery located in the Centre for Science and Art building.

No, this workshop is suitable for beginners
Our barn is on a working community farm. The car park is on uneven ground, and can get muddy so firm footwear is recommended. The barn space is a workshop space, with a concrete floor. We have small heaters in the room and we aim to ensure the space is kept warm, but please bring layers! And suitable footwear to be comfortable.
Yes, there is a farm car park next to the barn. Please note this is a working community farm, and the car park is on uneven ground which can get wet/muddy (but is hard standing). Please bring suitable footwear to navigate!
