Stained glass taster day in Worcestershire

Description

Come and join me in the glorious Worcestershire countryside and learn about the art of stained glass. There are a couple of ways to get the look, one is the 'Tiffany' method which uses copper foil and solder, the other is the traditional way of using lead and solder and we offer both! Either method is suitable for beginners as you will be shown how to cut and grind the glass to fit your pattern, we will then copper foil or leadwork your piece before finally soldering everything in place for you to take home. For a leadwork panel, it's approx 20 x 20cm and made up of 10 - 12 pieces, for copper foiling it can be from 2 - 10 pieces depending on the design.

"As all other reviewers have said, Vicky is a great lady with extensive knowledge and a fantastic personality too. My friend and I did a copper foil day and were both inspired to go on and do more. The setting is great, the workshop is comfortable and lunch was lovely. If I lived nearer I would join "glass club". Highly recommended. "

"I had a great day learning to do stained glass with Vicky. Vicky is an extremely good teacher going through each process clearly and concisely especially as I was a complete beginner. I was pleased to find that it was a one on one day with Vicky. I think that I found the soldering the hardest part of the process - definitely need more practice with that. Cutting the glass was not so easy on the curve but I was very pleased with the final piece and loved the vibrant colours. Thank you Vicky for your patience and expertise and thank you for the lovely lunch."
