Learn the art of linocut printmaking in this beginner-friendly workshop. In this hands-on class, I will guide you step-by-step through the entire process, from initial design to the final hand-printed artwork. You will take home your lino block as well as multiple copies of your artwork, to keep or gift to family and friends. This workshop is suitable for beginners - no previous art or drawing experience needed! What you'll learn: - mark-making techniques - safe carving practices - transferring designs to lino - how to experiment with mixing ink colours - how to print without a press (hand burnishing) This workshop is tailored to equip you with the knowledge and skills to continue your linocut journey at home. Printmaking can get messy! Please wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting messy, or bring your own apron.
