Description
Join a friendly introduction to the art of linocut printmaking! In this workshop, you'll learn how to transfer your designs onto a lino block, carve your block safely, and ink and print your creations. Linocut printmaking is a form of relief printing, where you carve away portions of the block to bring your design to life. During the session, you'll work on two projects: a mini mark-making block to get you started, and a larger 10cm x 15cm block to refine your skills. All printmaking equipment is provided. You'll go home with your two lino blocks and multiple copies of your artworks, to keep or gift to friends and family. Printmaking can be an inky business, so do bring an apron or wear clothes you don't mind getting messy! This workshop is designed for adults, but students aged 16+ are welcome to join, provided they are accompanied by an adult.
