Description
A festive day in the Zantium Studio with a great choice of projects, all using willow. These include stars, angels, trees and mini reindeer. Items may be designed for hanging or free-standing display with a log base. You will learn a variety of techniques and make several decorations to take home. ‘Pick & mix’ from the following: Large standing willow angel, Christmas tree (or forest), mini 2D reindeer, Scandi-style stars, woven stars (random or formal weave), willow bark stars or willow wreath bases. Course open to all – both beginners and those with experience. “Terrific course, Rachel is very knowledgeable and a great teacher” Tutor: Rachel Hutton Rachel is a professional artist, teacher and woodland ranger. She is passionate about the natural landscape and the synergy between hand-crafted items and nature. Based on the edge of the Peak District, she grows her own willow/hazel and employs traditional tools and techniques to create her work. She exhibits and demonstrates around the country for clients including the RHS, English Heritage and the Great Yorkshire Show. “Excellent course run by top rate tutor” Start time: Join us from 9.30am for tea/coffee and introductions.
