Sarah Madsen is a BA Hons Degree Jewellery Designer from Central St Martins College, London. She will be teaching you to hand make your own flat bangle in sterling silver. Using approx 5mm x 1.3 Sterling silver wire. This thickness will give the bangle some substance. Using text and number stamps, you'll learn how to stamp your own message, birthdays, names etc. All of Sarah's courses are private lessons and usually, a max of 3 people can be taught at one time. Making this silver bangle will show you how to solder, file, hammer and form a bangle. Finally, you will finish the bangle with a soft matt appearance, this really shows off your text stamping. This is a beginner's course offering a friendly, informal introduction to the craft of jewellery. No previous experience is needed as this is a perfect class to start that curiosity into the world of traditional jewellery making. This class is to handmake 1 bangle per student and is run as a private session for one-to-one, or up to 3 people max. Please bear in mind with 2 or more people in a class we may run overtime. Makes an ideal gift for many occasions such as a birthday, mother and daughter class, anniversaries etc.

What's included in the price?

All tuition, silver, tools and use of the workshop. You just have to turn up?. *Dates of the courses are just a matter of agreeing on a day between ourselves. Most classes start at 10 am. Just message me with suggestions of a date and I'll try and make your preferred day.

Once upon a time, (many moons ago!) I was so fortunate to be able to attend Central St Martins College of Art & Design, London. I now work as a full time, self-employed Jewellery Artist. Using Silver and 18ct Gold with gemstones and some enamel. Using various techniques such as texturing through hammering, forging, wax carving, stone setting, etc are used in my work, all from my own studio in Cambridgeshire, U.K. I still love to draw and paint when I can.
